Policies
Payment Schedule:
- 25% retainer is required with the contract signatures to reserve your date and guarantee your price
- 50% retainer is due 3 months prior to your wedding date
- Balance is due on your wedding date.
- Any items purchased separately from your initial contract, must be paid in full with the order. Prices in effect at ordering time are used
- NSF cheques carry a $75 fee (further payments by certified cheque)
- If applicable to your wedding venues, you're responsible for arranging and paying for any permits or special permissions for shooting in locations that require them
- If applicable, admissions, parking, long distance phone calls, parcel deliveries, registered mail, travel fees, consultation fees, etc. are extra charges and are payable separately prior to image delivery.
Important conditions found in my contract agreement !
- Dates and prices are only guaranteed upon the signing of a contract
- My assistant and I need to eat in oder to keep our energy up, therefore, if you're hiring us beyond 6 hours AND beyond 19:00, your choice of providing us with a meal at the reception OR my assistant and I will need to use up to 60mins of your paid time, to go out and get a meal
- The hourly fee is continuous on the wedding day, is rounded to whole hours (no fractions)
- The minimum hours agreed to in the contract will be billed and cannot be reduced, however, by mutual consent, coverage may be extended at the overtime rate specified in your contract
- The photographer's fee includes his time for services rendered on the wedding day ONLY as well as time for processing captured/ordered images. Any other time spent outside of these parameters whether planned or impromptu is billable separately as a consultation fee
- Because email correspondence is the most efficient way to communicate as well as the most accurate method for tracking requests, changes, etc, it's our standard method of communication
- There are no travel fees for shoot locations situated within Ottawa, Orleans, Nepean, Kanata, Manotick, Aylmer, Hull and Gatineau (central only). Locations officially situated beyond these boundaries are subject to an additional travel fee.
- You can chose any number of locations for your event photography
- Unless discussed and agreed to prior to the beginning of your ceremony, NO OTHER PHOTOGRAPHER (S) / VIDEOGRAPHER (S) WILL BE PERMITTED within the ceremony area during the proceedings. This will require that your officiant express these conditions (along with any other announcements he/she might have) prior to starting the ceremony
- All orders are to be picked-up by you at the photographer's home to avoid delivery charges
- Applicable taxes are NOT included on ANY pricing advertised on this ENTIRE website
Change of Plan Policy:
Changing the wedding date by you is subject to the following conditions:
- Availability of the photographer
- Advance notice of more than 3 calendar months from your current date
- Change fee $500
In the unlikely event of a serious illness/death preventing the photographer from carrying out his responsibilities, (I've never missed a commitment in 30 years) every attempt will be made by us to find a replacement photographer for you at no additional cost to either party but, if such a replacement cannot be found or agreed to, a full refund will be made to you (except for previous date change fees already collected or work already performed, ie engagement portrait) and the contract terminated without prejudice.
About Prints & Negatives 
Copyright infringement is a serious matter. Here are the conditions under which you receive all images :
All images, after full payment, will become the physical property of the bride and groom and will reside with them for unlimited personal use, however, the photographer retains the full copyrights to his work and at his prerogative, he will be permitted to use, reproduce, expose and publish his work at his cost and without any compensation to the bride/groom. Any publication of the artist's images by the bride/groom will require express written permission as well as the author's photo credit and phone contact predominantly displayed with each image. Any commercial use of the images by the bride/groom is strictly forbidden. By giving any third party access or authorization to use copyrighted images, the bride/groom assume full responsibility should those copyrighted images subsequently be used in any way that violates our agreement.
In addition, a SHOOT LIST to select from and add to is provided for you to download. It's imperative that you complete it in a timely manner for a productive first meeting.
Please complete it and email it prior to your first appointment, so that we can accurately evaluate the time needed at each location.
This list will then be kept and managed by my assistant, to streamline our work flow on the wedding day and ensure that your requests aren't left out!
