Some photographers take reality...and impose the domination of their own thought and spirit. Others come before reality more tenderly and a photograph to them is an instrument of love and revelation.

       About this Photographer

My early fascination with photography led me to study Photographic Arts at  Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto, Canada's most respected program of its kind.

In no particular order, my passion extends primarily to still life, landscape, portraiture, illustrative, editorial and photojournalism.

Wedding photography has been a part of my repertoire since 1978, when it first struck a sense of fulfillment. To this day, it allows me to step into the event's enveloping sentiment and I must admit that, when empathy is bathed in a happy environment, it's highly addictive!

I'm fluent in Portuguese, French and English. I also understand Spanish and Italian well enough to follow most conversations.

I value respect, sincerity and commitment. I'm easy going and adaptable with a witty sense of humor! Ultimately, I love people who love people.

I've spent my entire life straddling varied cultures, languages and religions through this and other work, as well as residency and wide social circles. I'm incredibly lucky and grateful to have had the experience of embracing the diversity that makes up human kind. My life experience allows me to be at ease with all ethnic/religious customs and traditions while opening the door of perception to the many fleeting moments each can produce throughout a wedding day.

For me, a wedding is a premier event for embracing what is dearest to all of us: family bonds, commitment, a fresh start and the indomitable human spirit. My 25 years of marriage and 3 children have given me a deeper sensitivity, understanding and appreciation for all that takes place on a wedding day. In fact, I know it has improved my perception of subtleties and emotional engagement with the event. These additional tools cannot be bought at any price and I'm happy to make good use of them when I commit to capturing your event.

A former mentor and teacher repeatedly said: "You're only as good as your last job!".  These words stuck! They've not only pushed me be extremely critical of my own work, but have continuously motivated me to believe that my best images are always ahead. I'm forever grateful for it.

I sincerely hope that you become a part of my best work yet!
